Dutch Boy Poly started in a small farm shop in northeast Missouri. We were especially drawn to Poly Furniture because of the durability of the material and vibrant colors that didn’t fade. In 2018 we built our first piece. A 6ft picnic table is what got us started and at that time it was just a hobby project. Later that year we were hard up to build a chair but we didn’t start with anything real simple. Digging right in with the help of a friend’s pattern from some wooden chairs they had built, we produced our first swivel glider! When a local grocery store heard about what we were doing they started displaying some of our first pieces and selling some even though they looked very crude at that time.
